Anuj Poudel
Anuj Poudel is a Ph.D. student from Nepal in the Department of Agronomy mentored by Dr. Ganga Hettiarachchi. His research primarily focuses on the soil application of recovered nutrient products (RNPs) derived from AnMBRs, in the form of ammonia-N, in combination with micronutrients and conventional fertilizers. Through soil incubation studies, he aims to compare and evaluate different treatments to assess if sequestered N and micronutrient-rich fertilizers from wastewater enhance conventional fertilizers efficiency and overall nitrogen use efficiency. He is passionate about integrating soil chemistry to improve the understanding of nutrient dynamics and fertilizer product transformation in soils to help advance sustainable crop production systems while minimizing environmental and human health risks.
Outside of the lab, Anuj enjoys playing soccer, exploring new places, and believes in learning by doing, which guides both his academic journey and personal growth.
