You Asked It! A Look Back

The Rapid Response Center was formed in 1995 as a resource for Kansas State University Extension Agents. This program focused on topics including Food Science, Human Nutrition, Food Service, Textiles, Home Care and other consumer topics. Since that time, non-food related topics are no longer supported. The proven success of the Center helped start a similar position within Kansas State University Extension Horticulture.

The first issue of the You Asked It! newsletter was developed in June 2003 to share many questions brought forth from Kansas Extension Agents and consumers. Here is a look back at that first issue which contained topics that are still relevant for 2026.
