Join us for an artist talk with author Lisa Olstein, whose multi-media book Distinguished Office of Echoes leans into the intersection of word and image. Through cutouts, erasure, and collage, Olstein brings new meaning to archival texts. An 1865 study of marine invertebrates becomes an exploration of death and loss. A 1905 primer on ancient history shifts into a study on human and geologic time.
