GREETINGS FROM DEAN WARRICK

Cynthia Warrick headshotHello, New Colleagues!

I am so pleased to be kicking off the fall 2026 semester with you at Kansas State University! I hope it’s starting well for you, and I want you to know that we will not miss a beat during this interim phase. We will continue to guide and support all the great work happening here, build our capacity to be a top choice among colleges of arts and sciences, and position ourselves to succeed far into the future.

In this and future newsletters, you’ll find information about events, resources, procedures, achievements and more. Please watch for them in your inbox.

We are planning several activities this year that we hope you’ll participate in. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the Welcome Back Social on Aug. 19 and was happy that so many of you attended.

Next up will be our combined Town Hall and Faculty Meeting on Thu., Sept. 10. It will be an important meeting, and I hope to see many of you there. More information is below.

Please note that we will combine a town hall style meeting with every faculty meeting this semester. We encourage all faculty and staff members to attend as we make important decisions about the college’s future.

After our Oct. 1 town hall/faculty meeting, we’ll have our only ArtSci Drop-By of the fall semester. All college staff and faculty members are invited to this casual get-together, and I look forward to meeting more of you there.

The Dean’s Office staff continues to work hard to improve and communicate our policies and procedures and set the college up for success. I value your input and welcome you to share your thoughts and concerns with me at asdeans@k-state.edu.

Respectfully,

Cynthia Warrick, Interim Dean
