Digital accessibility workshops tailored to Arts and Sciences

 

Fall 2026 DAS 101 instructor interest requested

The college is beginning to staff the Fall 2026 DAS 101 college orientation course. Instructors are invited to express interest in teaching this 1-credit course designed to support first-year students in their transition to K-State. Standard sections follow a shared syllabus and Canvas template, and instructors receive course materials and lesson plans. Compensation for overload sections is $2,000. Applied Learning Classroom Grant

graphic with grant name and sponsor and cartoon images of people engaged in community activitiesThe Chapman Center for Rural Studies is accepting proposals for the 2026 Applied Learning Classroom Grant, which offers up to $2,000 to Arts and Sciences faculty members for integrating community engagement into courses. It can be used for summer salary or classroom needs like equipment and travel. Interest should submit to chapmancenter@k-state.edu by March 27 a one-page white paper outlining their course, community partners, and anticipated impact. Recipients gain full access to Chapman Center resources, including media support and professional recording and scanning equipment, for the award period beginning May 14.

 

Undergraduate Research Awards

Our college is committed to offering all Arts and Sciences students research opportunities, and we help make it possible by providing $1,500 Undergraduate Research Awards every semester. Applications for fall 2026 are due May 1.

 

Undergraduate Internship Awards

Undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolled in any major in the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to apply for internship awards to provide financial support while engaging in an internship, apprenticeship or practicum experience. Applications for fall 2026 are due May 1.

 

Nominate Arts and Sciences students and alumni for Alumni Association awards

Award nominations for graduating students in a variety of categories are due March 9 and Distinguished Young Alumni Award nominations are due April 20.
