Provost names search committee for Graduate School dean

Jesse Perez Mendez, provost and executive vice president, has appointed the search committee to lead a national search for the university's next dean of the Graduate School.

Chairing this committee will be Michael McClure, dean of the College of Architecture, Planning & Design. The university has engaged the services of Academic Career & Executive Search, or ACES, an executive search firm, to support the search process.

Search committee members are:

  • Michael McClure, committee chair, professor and dean of the College of Architecture, Planning & Design
  • Christy Craft, graduate faculty associate in the Graduate School; professor and graduate coordinator in the College of Education
  • Karen Goos, vice provost for enrollment management
  • Zane Whitney, Ph.D. student and graduate teaching assistant in the history department
  • Evan Jones, senior director of development at the KSU Foundation
  • Sara Luly, director of the University Honors Program in the Staley School of Leadership and associate professor in the modern languages department
  • Terry Mason, professor and associate dean of graduate and undergraduate programs in the College of Business Administration
  • Ellyn Mulcahy, director of the public health program and professor in the diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department
  • Anil Pahwa, university distinguished professor and interim associate dean for research and graduate programs in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering
  • Darrin Smith, associate professor and associate dean for faculty, research and administration at K-State Olathe
  • Tim Taylor, retired president of Phillips 66
  • Johnathan Ulmer, professor and interim associate dean for academic programs in the College of Agriculture
