Plan ahead for a peaceful and productive summer

The New Faculty Institute will host Every Summer Needs a Plan to help faculty make the most of the summer months. The session will be from 8:30-9:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, in the K-State Student Union, Room 204. Please RSVP ahead of the session.

Summer can be challenging for a variety of reasons. It is important to use this time to decompress from the intensity of the academic year. The New Faculty Institute also wants to ensure that faculty can continue moving toward their goals and set themselves up for success in the next academic year.

The session will examine an easy five-step approach to planning that balances personal and professional goals. At the end of the session, participants will have an outline of a summer plan that balances restful restoration with productivity. Coffee and pastries will be provided.

The New Faculty Institute, hosted by the Teaching and Learning Center, provides professional development opportunities for faculty in their first three years at K-State. Events are open to all K-State faculty.
