Kansas Board of Regents will meet March 11 in Topeka

The Kansas Board of Regents meets March 11 at the Curtis State Office Building in Topeka. A livestream is available.

K-State items on the consent agenda include:

  • The Regents will act on K-State’s request to issue revenue bonds of $23.5 million to fund the Agricultural Innovation Initiative projects. Bonds will be used primarily to support project cash flow associated with donor pledges.
  • The Regents will act on K-State’s request to execute a master lease agreement with K-State’s new controlled affiliated corporation, under which designated university spaces would be transferred to the affiliated corporation for subleasing to industry partners. The arrangement is intended to enhance collaboration, optimize space utilization and integrate innovation across campus while maintaining university oversight and approval of all subleases.

K-State item on the discussion agenda:

  • President Richard Linton will present K-State’s annual report on Pillar III of the Kansas Board of Regents’ Building a Future strategic plan. Pillar III focuses on advancing economic prosperity by leveraging public higher education to drive job creation, investment work workforce development and community well-being across Kansas.
