Advancing excellence: 70 K-State faculty promoted, 27 earn tenure

Seventy Kansas State University faculty members are receiving promotions in rank, with 27 faculty members earning tenure, effective July 1.

"I am thrilled to recognize the accomplishments of these incredible faculty members actively advancing their fields through teaching, research and service," said Jesse Perez Mendez, provost and executive vice president. "We are proud of what they do for Kansas State University, but perhaps even more importantly, we are proud that their efforts have a long-lasting impact that stretches far beyond our own institution."

The promotions include 31 faculty members to the rank of full professor, 26 faculty members to the rank of associate professor with tenure, 12 additional faculty promotions, and one faculty member earning tenure.

"These faculty members have played and continue to play a pivotal role in developing students into future leaders, promoting access to knowledge and driving innovation that improves lives, advances progress and enhances well-being across our society," said Mendez. "I congratulate these newly tenured and promoted faculty, and I look forward to their continued efforts as valued members of the Kansas State University community."
