The Nexus Informatics Conference invites experts and students from across disciplines — including industry, academia, medicine, agriculture, technology and biology — for two days of learning, networking and collaboration centered on the dynamic field of informatics, or the study of computational systems, on April 9 and 10.

Designed to spark new partnerships and build connections across sectors, the conference offers opportunities to engage with leading experts by sharing insights, novel research and innovative practices. K-State faculty are among this year's contributors and speakers, including Brad White, director of the Beef Cattle Institute.

The conference aims to unite informatics researchers from academia and industry, explore new approaches to problem-solving, identify shared opportunities and initiate collaborations. It also provides a platform for students and trainees to exchange knowledge and gain insights from potential employers.

Students are invited to submit research for the conference poster session. Four students will be selected to receive a cash scholarship and a speaking opportunity.

Kansas State University is a stakeholder institution of BioNexus KC's Nexus Informatics initiative, with faculty contributing to the conference's leadership, programming and presentations. Laura Miller, associate professor of diagnostic medicine/pathobiology, serves on the Nexus Informatics Scientific Program Committee.
