Be on the lookout for the Great Colleges to Work For survey

A letter from Shanna Legleiter, chief human resources officer

Dear K-State colleagues,

As part of our mission to be an employer of choice in Kansas and within the higher education sector, Kansas State University is participating in the Great Colleges to Work For program to gain insight into employee experience and the competitiveness of K-State policies and benefits.

To help gather this information, Great Colleges to Work For will randomly survey several hundred faculty and staff members on Monday, March 2. If you are selected, you will receive an email with details about the program and how to access the survey.

Please note that legitimate invitations will come from surveys@modernthink.net and will have the subject line "Great Colleges to Work For 2026 Faculty/Staff Survey."

Everyone receiving an invitation will use the same survey username, but a unique password; therefore, please do not forward your survey link to anyone else. You will not be asked for your eID or password.

If you receive an invitation, please take a moment to complete the survey. This is a chance to make your voice heard, and a high response rate helps ensure an accurate representation of our university. At the end of the program, K-State will receive reports highlighting the key skills and relationships that shape our workplace culture.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and completely confidential; the university will not be able to link the results back to individuals.

Survey results will be processed by ModernThink, an independent management consulting firm focused on workplace quality in higher education. Any questions can be directed to (888)684-4658 or surveys@modernthink.net.

We encourage everyone's participation and hope you will take this opportunity to share your invaluable feedback.

If you have questions, please contact our assistant vice president of organizational culture and employee experience, Corey Williamson, via email at cdw4388@k-state.edu. Overall program information can be found at www.greatcollegesprogram.com.

If anything within the email you receive seems suspicious, please forward it to abuse@k-state.edu. Do not reply to the message or open any attachments.
