Finalists announced for dean of College of Agriculture

The search committee for the dean of the College of Agriculture announces four finalists who will interview for the position and invites you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Dan Moser, professor and interim Eldon Gideon Dean of the College of Agriculture at Kansas State University, will interview Feb. 11-12. The open forum will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall. A reception will follow from 4:30-5 p.m. in the Leadership Studies Building, Room 127.

  • Geoffrey Dahl, professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida, will interview Feb. 12-13. The open forum will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, in the Flint Hills Room in the K-State Student Union. A reception will follow from 4:30-5 p.m. in the same location. This is an updated location from the initial announcement.

  • Amy Lawton-Rauh, professor and senior associate provost at Clemson University, will interview Feb. 16-17. The open forum will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall. A reception will follow from 4:30-5 p.m. in the Leadership Studies Building, Room 127.

  • Amy Charkowski, professor and associate dean for research in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University, will interview Feb. 17-18. The open forum will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall. A reception will follow from 4:30-5 p.m. in the Leadership Studies Building, Room 126.

K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled, “College of Agriculture in 2030: Aligning its Future with the Next-Gen K-State Strategic Plan.”

Application materials and itinerary for each candidate are available on the provost’s administrative search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the provost’s search website. There will also be an online candidate feedback survey on that website. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two business days following each candidate’s open forum, and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback by Thursday, Feb. 19.
