University Printing training offers guidance on print, sign and direct mail projects

Ordering professional printing services can feel challenging, particularly when deadlines are tight and budgets are a priority.

To help take the guesswork out of the process, University Printing is offering an in-person training session designed to give faculty and staff clarity and confidence when approaching print projects.

At 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, campus faculty and staff are invited to Umberger Hall, Room 105, for "University Printing: Your Trusted Source for Print, Signs, Direct Mail and More — Tips and Tricks for Stress-Free Projects," a training providing an overview of professional printing services and best practices.

The session will be practical and discussion-based, with presentations from printing professionals and colleagues, as well as opportunities for questions and shared experiences. Topics will include how design choices affect cost and production, as well as straightforward strategies to achieve high-quality results more efficiently.

The session will highlight the importance of early planning for print, sign, and direct mail projects, as well as preparing files with the desired outcome in mind to avoid common issues, save time and reduce stress. Time will be reserved for discussion, questions and a brief tour of University Printing's main production facility.

This training offers an opportunity to learn more about the professional printing process and explore how University Printing can serve as a reliable partner from project planning through final delivery.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to register and bring questions to the session.
