Face your finals feeling recharged and ready with WellCAT Finals Refresh

Unwind and connect with your creative side at Paws Break with Oakley. Hot chocolate bar and puppy snuggles included!
Forget the idea that finals week has to mean being sleep-deprived and overcaffeinated. Preparing for finals is no time to neglect your health and well-being. Getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals and taking intentional brain breaks can make the end of the semester more manageable — and more successful.
This year's WellCAT Finals Refresh makes it even easier to prioritize mental, physical and academic well-being. The Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being, UPC, the Academic Achievement Center, the Staley School of Leadership, the Rec Center and other campus partners invite students to unwind, de-stress and recharge before finals week.
A full list of events is available online, but here's a look at what to expect:
- Mindful Moments at the Rec Center, Dec. 8-14: Stop by for a snack and take part in Mindful Moments. Slow down, reflect and share positivity by writing encouraging affirmations for fellow Wildcats. Available while supplies last.
- Refuel and Refocus with First Lady Sally Linton, Dec. 8: Got a task you've been putting off? Drop in for motivation from the first lady and certified life coach, and finally check that task off your list.
- DIY study fidgets at Hale Library, Dec. 11: Take a break from studying and make a hands-on tool to help relieve stress and stay grounded.
- Flapjacks, coffee and more, Dec. 12-14: Nourish your body with free food and community. Enjoy flapjacks in Bluemont Hall, then stop by the K-State Student Union for more free coffee, food and crafts. Don't miss Late Night Breakfast at the Union on Dec. 14, featuring pancakes, a cereal bar, classic cartoons and prize giveaways. Pajamas encouraged.
- Visit with Oakley the Therapy Dog, Dec. 9-10: Spend time with Oakley while enjoying crafts, hot chocolate, and a chance to slow down and relax.
Students who need additional support for their well-being are encouraged to access free campus resources, including Cats' Cupboard, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Lafene Health Center. Students can also call the Central Kansas Mental Health Center anytime at 785-515-6143 for immediate mental health support.
