Kansas Board of Regents will meet Dec. 17 in Topeka

The Kansas Board of Regents meets on Dec. 17 at the Curtis State Office Building in Topeka. A livestream is available.

The K-State item on the consent agenda is:

  • The Regents will act on K-State’s request to offer a Bachelor of Science in diversified agriculture.

K-State items on the discussion agenda:

  • The Regents will act on a request to approve five new courses for systemwide transfer.
  • The Regents will act on a request to remove intermediate algebra, MAT 0990, from systemwide transfer courses.
  • The Regents will receive the first read of proposed amendments to the policies on tenure, post-tenure review and workload.
  • The Regents will act on the fiscal year 2027 housing and food service rate proposals.
  • The Regents will receive reports from the state universities on facility conditions, space utilization and projected maintenance assessment expenditures.
  • The Regents will adopt a systemwide plan for the Kansas Campus Restoration Act for fiscal years 2026-2031.
  • The Regents will act on the allocation of the fiscal year 2027 Educational Building Fund appropriation. K-State’s allocation is $16,744,000.
  • The Regents will act on non-budgetary legislative proposals for the 2026 legislative session. K-State requests authority to sell the Honors House in Riley County.
