A portion of Mid-Campus Drive will be closed Nov. 7-28

The red section of Mid-Campus Drive will be closed Nov. 7-28.
A section of Mid-Campus Drive will be closed from Friday, Nov. 7, through Friday, Nov. 28. Please note that this timeline may be extended due to weather conditions.
The closure will affect the area near Willard Hall, the Chemistry/Biochemistry Building and King Hall, where fencing will be installed due to the large construction equipment being used. The fencing will include gates to allow access for construction vehicles and emergency services. Deliveries will not be permitted in the area during the closure.
Pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalk on the west side of the Chemistry/Biochemistry Building and King Hall to bypass the construction site. Please follow the marked detours and exercise caution, as large trucks and equipment will be operating in the vicinity.
This closure is necessary for the geology relocation project. As part of this project, renovations will be made to portions of Willard Hall, the Chemistry/Biochemistry Building and King Hall to facilitate the relocation of the Department of Geology from Thompson Hall to the newly renovated spaces. Additionally, the project will involve demolishing and rebuilding a retaining wall located at the northeast corner of Willard Hall.
