K-State students invite campus community to participate in pollinator conservation survey
Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in a short survey supporting a Kansas State University student research project on pollinator conservation and engagement. The survey is part of the fall 2025 capstone experience in the natural resources and environmental sciences, NRES, secondary major. The survey can be completed online.
Pollinators, including bees, butterflies, moths and other species, play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and enhancing agricultural productivity. Yet many pollinator populations are experiencing significant declines due to habitat loss, reduced floral resources, pesticide exposure and disease.
Understanding how the K-State community perceives and engages with pollinator conservation is essential for shaping future educational efforts, campus habitat improvements and community outreach.
The survey takes approximately 5-8 minutes to complete, and responses are anonymous. Findings will be used by NRES students to develop evidence-based recommendations for improving pollinator-related engagement opportunities on campus and in surrounding communities.
The NRES program encourages all members of the K-State community to share their perspectives and help support students' hands-on learning, applied research and contributions to K-State's land-grant mission.
For questions about the survey or the capstone project, please contact the NRES faculty leadership team at nres@k-state.edu.
