Graduate Workshop Series offers tips and tools for research success
Join K-State Libraries for The Library and Your Research, a free workshop series co-sponsored by the Graduate Student Council that helps graduate students enhance and professionalize their scholarly pursuits.
The final session of the fall semester will take place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, via Zoom. Registration can be completed by using the sign-up form.
The Nov. 3 workshop, “Developing Your Scholarly Identity,” will introduce and explore the fundamentals of scholarly identity management. The session will tour and delve into tools like Google Scholar and ORCiD, demonstrating how to create and fill out your unique profiles. The session will provide a quick overview of the pros and cons of types of metrics, like citation and alt-metrics. Additionally, the session will cover ways you can share or represent your work through different platforms and curate an online scholarly identity.
