Revolutionizing academic submissions with new electronic forms

The Office of the Registrar, in collaboration with the Division of Information Technology, introduces a new set of electronic academic forms that will simplify and streamline key processes for students, faculty and staff at Kansas State University.

More than 25 electronic forms have been redesigned and digitized to support faster and more efficient processing. This includes common requests for:

  • Student information changes — e.g., name, date of birth, etc.
  • Residency reclassification
  • Requests for academic program changes

Each form is designed to include:

  • Pre-filled student information, where applicable
  • Automated routing and approvals to minimize delays
  • Improved tracking and data accuracy

The new forms are supported by Laserfiche, the university's document and process automation system. Laserfiche streamlines workflows, secures records, and centralizes access to academic documents, reducing manual steps and enhancing communication. With its user-friendly interface, Laserfiche ensures faster processing and seamless form submission.

Training guides and support resources are available to assist users in navigating the new system, whether you are submitting forms or managing approvals.

All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use these updated forms to benefit from a more modern and efficient approach to academic processes. Additional forms will continue to be transitioned to electronic formats in the future.
