Lafene Health Center welcomes K-State alumnus and sports medicine physician Benjamin Reiswig

 

Kansas State University's Lafene Health Center is welcoming Benjamin Reiswig to its staff. Reiswig received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from K-State, and his Master of Science in biomedical sciences and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He is board-certified in family medicine and most recently received his sports medicine fellowship from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Auburn University Athletics.

Reiswig is originally from Wichita and comes from a family of doctors — his dad, brothers, uncle and cousin are all family medicine physicians in Wichita. His grandmother, mother, sister and wife are all nurses. He is the only K-State Wildcat in the family.

“I am an osteopathic primary care sports medicine physician, and I love all things musculoskeletal,” said Reiswig. “I utilize osteopathic manipulative medicine and ultrasound-guided procedures in my practice. I wanted to return to Manhattan to serve as a university and team physician for Kansas State Athletics.”

“We are thrilled that Reiswig has joined us at Lafene Health Center,” said Michael Campbell, Lafene’s medical director. “He brings a wealth of family medicine and sports medicine knowledge in addition to specialized soft tissue manipulation treatment that will benefit students who come to Lafene. Plus, he graduated from K-State and is passionate about the Cats!”
