Four easy ways to pay your parking citation
No one wants to receive a parking citation, but if it happens, several easy payment options are available.
Using the Scan & Pay QR code on the citation is the easiest method. Simply scan the QR code, which will direct you to the payment site without requiring you to log in or create an account. From there, you can view the citation details and make your payment.
You can also pay citations online through the K-State Parking Portal or in person at the Parking Services office at 706 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the K-State Parking Garage. Parking Services operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Another option is the Donations 4 Citations program. This program allows students, faculty and staff to have one parking citation forgiven once each academic year by donating nonperishable food items and hygiene products to Cats' Cupboard. To qualify for citation forgiveness, individuals must donate 10 or more new items from a designated list.
Not all citations qualify for the Donations 4 Citations program. Eligible citations include violation warnings, expired meter violations, unpaid parking, unregistered vehicles, improper parking and overtime parking.
If citations remain unpaid for more than 14 days, a late fee of $10 will be added. Your vehicle may be wheel-locked if you accumulate five or more citations or have unpaid citations totaling $200 or more. Additionally, unpaid citations may result in your vehicle being traced through the Department of Motor Vehicles and reported to a collection agency.
