Learn about personal preparedness at Sept. 10 workshop
Join K-State Libraries for a workshop about personal preparedness from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in 181 Hale Library.
Participants will learn about the fundamental principles of preparedness, from creating emergency kits and communication plans to locating local shelter areas. Whether you're facing a short-term disruption or a long-term crisis, being prepared gives you and your loved ones peace of mind and the ability to respond effectively when it matters most.
The workshop is part of Community Safety Talks, a series that aims to promote a safe environment for all. This session will be presented by Rikki Blume and Savannah Greiner from K-State Emergency Management in the Division of Risk and Safety.
This event is open to everyone, including students, staff and faculty at K-State and members of the surrounding community. Professional development credit will be offered to all faculty and staff who attend the event, and students can receive credit in CatTrax. Register online to attend.
Coffee will be provided, courtesy of Joyce and Joe's Cornerstone Café. This series is sponsored by K-State Libraries, K-State Housing and Dining, and BHS Construction.
