Enjoy tasty food, healthy eating with Mediterranean cooking demos

A top down view shows various Mediterranean dishes of rice, salmon and other similar foods.Kansas State University Human Resources' Faculty and Staff Well-being, in collaboration with K-State Extension, invites university employees to attend "Med Instead of Meds," a class series that explores seven simple steps to eating the "Med Way," complete with Mediterranean-inspired cooking demonstrations starting in September.

Using a curriculum developed by North Carolina State University Extension professionals, "Med Instead of Meds" features whole-grain, heart-smart recipes for all cooking levels. Each session includes a tasting opportunity so that attendees can experience the flavors firsthand.

The first of the six monthly installments will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 12, in 115 Justin Hall. Please register to attend upcoming sessions. If you can't join in person, watch live on Zoom. Zoom recordings will also be made available.
