Start strong this semester with K-State support resources
As the fall semester gets underway, Kansas State University offers a variety of free resources to help students succeed. Whether it’s building new study skills, setting and achieving goals or finding support for complex challenges, students can take advantage of programs and services designed to strengthen their academic and personal success.
First Lady and certified life coach Sally Linton hosts Refuel and Refocus Hours, where students can check off a stubborn task on their to-do lists while enjoying free food, access to tutors and a productive study environment. Dates and details are available through the Academic Achievement Center.
Students can also meet one-on-one with an academic coach to create a personalized success plan that develops study strategies, test-taking skills and time management. Free tutoring services are offered by appointment or drop-in at locations across campus, including a new tutoring space in Hale Library. More information is available at the Academic Achievement Center website.
For first-time full-time students and transfer students, Willie — the university’s AI assistant — provides 24/7 support by text message. Willie helps connect students with campus resources and checks in periodically throughout the semester. Learn more at k-state.edu/students.
Students are encouraged to download the free Navigate app to schedule appointments with campus resources, track deadlines, plan courses and access support. Details are available at k-state.edu/navigate.
Additional support is available through TRIO Educational Supportive Services, which provides tutoring, financial literacy programs and graduate school or career preparation to eligible students. The TRIO ESS website offers details and application information.
K-State’s Honor and Integrity System reinforces academic honesty through the university’s Honor Pledge. Resources are available at k-state.edu/honor.
Students with permanent or temporary disabilities may connect with the Student Access Center to secure academic or housing accommodations. Those exploring majors or preparing for professional school can find guidance through the Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center.
The Student Support and Accountability office also assists students experiencing challenges that may affect their coursework, including health concerns, financial barriers, academic struggles and personal difficulties.
The Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs works to provide an impactful and holistic K-State experience by aligning student life resources with academic support programs so Wildcats can succeed in and out of the classroom.
