Students invited to submit posters for K-State AI Symposium

Undergraduate and graduate students engaged in artificial intelligence research are invited to submit poster abstracts for the upcoming K-State AI Symposium from Oct. 14-16 at Hale Library and the Manhattan Public Library.

The symposium will explore the intersection of AI and the humanities through panel discussions, lightning talks, poster sessions, workshops and community conversations with experts.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their research, network with peers and professionals, gain expert feedback, and be considered for awards and recognition through the symposium.

Students conducting research in AI-related areas — including machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, AI ethics, health care, sustainability, cybersecurity, agriculture and more — are encouraged to participate in the poster session.

Submission guidelines:

  • Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words and include a title, author(s) and affiliation(s).
  • Clearly state your research purpose, methods, results and conclusions, if available.
  • Submit abstracts via the Google Form.

The submission deadline is Sept. 21, and acceptance notifications will be sent by Sept. 26.

The symposium is a collaborative effort between the K-State departments of modern languages, computer science and philosophy; K-State Libraries; the College of Arts and Sciences; the Center of AI and Data Science; and the Manhattan Public Library.
