New 24/7 mental health support service now available to K-State students

Kansas State University is committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of all students. Beginning Aug. 1, K-State students will have 24/7 access to mental health support through a new partnership with Central Kansas Mental Health Center, or CKMHC. This service replaces the previous provider, Telus Health.

Students can call 785-515-6143 anytime — day or night — to speak with trained mental health professionals. The service is free, confidential and available to all enrolled K-State students seeking support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress and more.

In addition to the new 24/7 service, Lafene Counseling and Psychological Services, or CAPS, continues to be available for students seeking ongoing mental health care. Students can call CAPS directly at 785-532-6927 or schedule an appointment through the myLafene+Portal.

The shift to Central Kansas Mental Health Center reflects K-State's continued investment in accessible, high-quality mental health support tailored to the needs of our student community.
