Maintenance of wireless networks on July 2

Monday, June 30, 2025

K-State will conduct routine maintenance on its wireless networks at 8 am on Wednesday, July 2. After the maintenance is complete, most devices will automatically reconnect to the wireless network without any downtime.

However, some users may be prompted to accept a security certificate. This is expected behavior. If you receive this message, accept the certificate and you will be reconnected to the network.

If you do not receive a prompt and your device does not reconnect to the wireless network automatically, you will need to “forget the network,” accept the new certificate, and re-enter your eID and password. Please refer to the Forget a Wireless Network Connection article for detailed instructions. Contact the IT Service Desk at 785-532-7722 or use Live Chat if you require assistance.

K-State offers wireless network services for students, faculty, staff and guests through three primary networks:

  • KSU Wireless: A secure network for current students, faculty and staff not living in residence halls or the Jardine Apartments.
  • KSU Housing: A secure network specifically for residents of the residence halls and Jardine Apartments.
  • KSU Guest: A network available for campus visitors with no security measures and does not require an eID or password.

This maintenance is essential for maintaining the safety and security of our systems.
