cell phone home screen for KState Safe with call 911 and campus options

K-State Safe is the new official mobile safety app for Kansas State University. It connects directly with K-State Police and offers tools to help you stay safe on campus.

K-State Safe app features include:

  • Emergency notifications: K-State Safe fully integrates with K-State Alerts, the university's emergency notification system, and aids in emergency and safety communications.
  • Friend walk: Send your location in real-time to a friend so they can watch you as you walk to your destination.
  • Virtual walkhome: Send your location in real-time to K-State Police so they can watch as you walk to your destination.
  • Wildcat Walk: Request a K-State Police escort to walk with you to your destination.
  • Safe Ride: Students on the Manhattan campus can get free or discounted late-night rides within the city limits during the eligible windows utilizing the Lyft app.
  • One-click emergency dial to 911.
  • Contact K-State Police: Share information and safety concerns with K-State Police via chat, with the option to stay anonymous.
  • Resource directory: Place a direct call to campus resources and support services with the option to share your location with safety officials during the call.
  • Other features include campus maps, safety and student support resources, and mobile blue light.

The K-State Safe app is free for all current K-Staters. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play.
