History graduate students to conduct research, travel and professional development through departmental awards

Eleven history graduate students will perform dissertation research, travel to libraries, museums and archives, and attend professional events and conferences thanks to awards and grants totaling $55,000 from the department's Graduate Awards Committee.
The following graduate students are the 2025 award and grant recipients:
- Alan Boone: Florence M. Hamscher Graduate Research Fund; Leroy E. and Mary Sullivan Page Fund for Graduate Students in History.
- September Gering: Beach-Young Kansas History Scholarship; Harvey Hougen Memorial Scholarship; Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship.
- Kenzie Jansonius: Clyde and Marilena Ferguson Graduate Scholarship; Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship.
- Phillip Morgan: Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship.
- Jett Nixon: Florence M. Hamscher Graduate Research Fund; Robin Higham Military History Graduate Student Research and Travel Fund; Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
- Hannah Palsa: Shirley A. Martin Scholarship; Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship; Gary Joseph Younger Memorial Scholarship.
- Paxton Stover: Kenneth W. Jones Graduate Student Travel Fund; Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship; Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship; Dr. A. Bower Sageser Memorial Scholarship.
- Allison Taylor: Shirley A. Martin Scholarship.
- Zane Whitney: Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship; Albert N. Hamscher Graduate Fellowship in History; Leroy E. and Mary Sullivan Page Fund for Graduate Students in History.
- Yunxia Zhang: James C. Carey Graduate Student Research and Travel Fund; Leroy E. and Mary Sullivan Page Fund for Graduate Students in History; Shirley A. Martin Scholarship.
