Provost names search committee for interim dean of the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering

Jesse Perez Mendez, provost and executive vice president, has appointed the search committee to lead an expedited search for an interim dean of the Kansas State University Carl R. Ice College of Engineering. This search will be an internal search open to current and qualified K-State employees. Brad Behnke, dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences, will serve as chair of the committee.
Search committee members are:
- Brad Behnke, committee chair, professor and dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences
- Jenna Brown, senior director of development at the KSU Foundation
- Jessica Heier Stamm, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing systems
- Christopher Jones, professor and head of the department of civil engineering
- Julia Keen, professor of architectural engineering and construction science
- Thomas Lane, vice president for academic success and student affairs and dean of students
- Ajay Sharda, university outstanding scholar and professor of biological and agricultural engineering
- Craig Wanklyn, assistant dean for recruitment in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering
The interim dean will take over leadership for Matt O'Keefe, who is stepping down as dean. A national search will be conducted later for permanent leadership, with more details to come.
