Undergraduate students conducting water-related research are encouraged to apply for K-State's Kansas Water Institute, or KWI, Undergraduate Research Fellows Program.

The KWI Water Fellows Program is a two-semester program that supports K-State juniors and seniors conducting water-related research projects with K-State faculty members during fall 2025 and spring 2026.

The program is designed to support students with their undergraduate research experiences. Participating students qualify for the Duane and Terry Townley Family scholarship, which provides $1,000 per semester. The application deadline is May 9, and the online application portal is now open.
