In this session, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to signs of distress in their peers and explore helpful listening skills and resources available on campus. They will have the opportunity to join the movement and receive resource cards and green bandanas to tie onto their backpack as a show of solidarity.

This workshop is part of K-State Libraries' Community Safety Talks, a series that promotes a safe environment for all.

This training is open to everyone, including students, staff and faculty at K-State as well as members of the surrounding community. Professional development credit will be offered to all faculty and staff who attend the event. Register online to attend.

Coffee will be provided, courtesy of Joyce and Joe's Cornerstone Café.

The Community Safety Talks series is made possible by the collaboration of K-State Libraries, Housing and Dining Services, the Police Department, Powercat Financial, Kansas Mesonet, the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being and Thrive Navigators.
