Launching a new K-State Today

Monday, March 24, 2025

Overlaying an image of the limestone Anderson Hall, a purple overlay reads K-State Today.

Welcome to the first edition of the new K-State Today email! K-State news is now accessible 24/7 through the K-State Today online news hub. Features, stories and updates are published every weekday and are strategically curated by the K-State Today editors three times a week in an email newsletter for students, faculty and staff.

The website and e-newsletter have been redesigned for better organization and navigation, making it easier to find the information you need and the stories that showcase K-State excellence.

K-State news hub

The K-State Today website is the primary source for the latest news and information from the university. Readers can access the site 24/7 to stay informed about research, community engagement, student involvement and success, updates from university leadership, and more.

The University Life section organizes information on updates from leadership, events and engagement opportunities, recognitions, operational guidance and campus life.

Additional site features include Next-Gen K-State impact stories, alumni news and links to Seek magazine, the university's award-winning flagship research publication.

These improvements to the website aim to enhance the search functionality for K-State Today moving forward. Additional updates and new features for the news hub are in the works and are expected to launch later this year.

K-State Today email

The redesigned e-newsletter is more visually appealing and utilizes new technology to replace outdated platforms. The K-State Today email is curated to highlight the best of K-State and provide essential information to students, faculty and staff.

The email will feature three selected events from the university calendar along with links to specific audience or topic calendars. Users can customize their K-State event notifications through the university calendar. For any questions regarding the calendar, please contact calendar@k-state.edu.

Please note that not all information on the news hub will be included in the separate e-newsletter; however, the email will always provide a link to all news.

Kudos for students, faculty and staff will be published monthly on the second Friday of each month. To submit kudos for consideration, please use this form. Additional guidelines, tips and resources for submitting items to K-State Today are available.
