These courses are intended to supplement the music education sequences and provide practical skills to assist music teachers in the field. Students need to have completed either a woodwind or a brass techniques course (236-239) before enrolling in either basic course. At the moment, these courses are only available on the Manhattan campus during Fall and Spring semesters. We are currently evaluating which courses we can offer in Summer terms.
The undergraduate certificate can be earned as a stand-alone credential without a bachelor's degree. The minor can only be earned alongside a bachelor's degree.
