Monday, Sept. 29, 2014
MANHATTAN — Larry Kendall, founding partner of The Group Inc. and author of "Ninja Selling," will be the fall 2014 speaker for the Kansas State University College of Business Administration's Distinguished Lecture Series.
Kendall's lecture will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in the ballroom at the K-State Alumni Center. The event is free and open to the public.
An expert in sales training, Kendall has been engaged in the real estate business for 41 years. His company, The Group Inc., has 200 sales partners in six offices in northern Colorado. Realtor magazine has named The Group Inc. the most productive real estate company in the United States as measured by transactions per sales associate.
Kendall's sales training system, "Ninja Selling," has more than 40,000 graduates in the United States, Canada and Spain, and is taught in the College of Business Administration's National Strategic Selling Institute.
In addition to his professional success, Kendall and his wife, Pat, who are both Kansas State University alumni, have been key contributors to the College of Business Administration. In 2008 they established the Kendall Scholarship for Overseas Experience, which provides 35-40 College of Business Administration students each year with financial assistance for studying abroad. They also have provided substantial financial support for the National Strategic Selling Institute, including funds to send students to sales competitions and the purchase of advanced technology for the sales labs.
"Larry has been a tremendous mentor to me and our students,” said Dawn Deeter, director of the National Strategic Selling Institute. "The institute would not be the success it is today without the help and generous support of Larry Kendall, and we are thrilled to have him on campus for our Distinguished Lecture Series."
The College of Business Administration's Distinguished Lecture Series brings successful business professionals to campus. Lectures are given every semester and are sponsored by Commerce Bank and the William T. Kemper Foundation.
