Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014

MANHATTAN -- A noted San Diego architect will be the speaker for the Architecture Distinguished Lecture Series at Kansas State University's College of Architecture, Planning & Design, or APDesign.

Jonathan Segal, a fellow of the American Institute of Architects, will present "Architect as Developer" at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the Little Theatre at the K-State Student Union. The lecture is free and the public is welcome.

"All great architecture should be beautiful and graceful, but at the same time affordable and appreciated by all walks of life," said Segal, who runs Jonathan Segal FAIA & Development Co. He is regarded as one of the San Diego area's most reputable and impactful residential architect/developer.

A master architect, Segal designs, develops and builds all of his projects. His firm has been honored with numerous awards on local, state and national levels for residential and urban design. The company has been responsible for the design and development of more than 300 medium-to high-density urban properties, including residential, mixed use and live/work units.
