Media advisory: Arrangements for Oct. 10 K-State and Fort Riley partnership renewal

ABOUT THE EVENT: Kansas State University President Richard Linton and 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley Maj. Gen. Monté Rone will renew the 16-year partnership between K-State and Fort Riley in a ceremony at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the KSU Foundation, 1800 Kimball Ave. The event will take place in the Leadership Room, located on the second floor.

FORMAL REMARKS: Linton and Rone will give formal remarks at 4:45 p.m. in the KSU Foundation's Leadership Room. Following the remarks, Linton and Rone will sign the Kansas State University and Fort Riley Partnership Agreement.

MEDIA RSVP: Media members attending the renewal should RSVP to media@k-state.edu by noon Wednesday, Oct. 9.

NEWS MEDIA SEATING:
K-State Division of Communications and Marketing staff will be available on the second floor of the KSU Foundation Building near the main entrance to greet media representatives. During the formal remarks, a designated area will be reserved for media members. Photographers and videographers will have freedom to move around during the formal remarks, and microphones or recording devices may be placed on the table for sound capture.

NEWS MEDIA PARKING:
Parking will be available in the parking lots surrounding the KSU Foundation building.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY:
Linton and Rone will be available for media interviews following the renewal ceremony from 5-5:10 p.m. in the Leadership Room.

NEWS MEDIA HELP:
Division of Communications and Marketing staff will be available to assist media personnel throughout the event.
