ABOUT THE EVENT: Kansas State University will celebrate the people and achievements that are driving K-State forward as the next-generation land-grant university as part of the 2024 State of Our University event on Wednesday, Sept. 11, in McCain Auditorium on K-State's Manhattan campus. The event will take place from 3-3:45 p.m., with a reception in the auditorium lobby following until 5 p.m. For more information, visit the 2024 State of Our University website.
REMARKS: Attendees will see performances from student groups and hear from K-State President Richard Linton and Student Body President Paige Vulgamore.
MEDIA RSVP: Media members attending the event should RSVP to media@k-state.edu by noon on Friday, Sept. 6.
NEWS MEDIA INSTRUCTIONS: Media should arrive to McCain Auditorium at 2:30 p.m. through the north entrance. An enhanced security screening of equipment will be conducted. K-State Division of Communications and Marketing staff will be available to greet media representatives.
NEWS MEDIA SEATING: During the event, a designated seating area will be reserved for media members. Photographers and videographers will have a reserved area to film, and a mult box will be available for sound capture.
NEWS MEDIA PARKING: If you have a parking pass from K-State's Division of Communications and Marketing, you may park in any nonreserved student or faculty/staff parking space. The K-State parking garage, south of the Union, is $2 per hour on a space-available basis; media parking passes are not valid for the garage. Please allow ample time for parking. MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Media availability with Linton will be held backstage following the event from 3:45-4 p.m.
NEWS MEDIA HELP: K-State Division of Communications and Marketing staff will be on hand to assist media personnel throughout the event.
