LECTURER: David Beasley, executive director of the United Nations' World Food Programme, will present a Landon Lecture at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union at Kansas State University. Doors will open at 10 a.m. The title of Beasley's lecture is "Kansas' Legacy in Global Food Security."
NEWS MEDIA SEATING: Media can find reserved seats in the front row on the right side of Forum Hall and in the back row of the lower section near the audio distribution box. News media photographers and videographers must remain in place during the entirety of the lecture. If you plan to attend the lecture you must email media@k-state.edu or call 785-532-2535 by noon Monday, Oct. 31, to reserve a seat. Please be in your seat by 10:15 a.m.
NEWS MEDIA PARKING: If you have a parking pass from K-State News and Communications Services, you may park in any nonreserved student or faculty/staff parking space. The K-State parking garage, south of the Union, is $2 an hour on a space-available basis; media parking passes are not valid for the garage. To access Forum Hall from the parking garage, enter through the south doors of the K-State Student Union. Please allow ample time for parking. MEDIA AVAILABILITY: A brief media availability with Beasley will be in Forum Hall shortly after the lecture.
CREDENTIALS: Although credentials are not required for the lecture, please bring your media identification with you in case it becomes necessary.
SECURITY: Media should be prepared to have camera bags, computer bags, etc., searched when entering Forum Hall.
LECTURE TEXT: No prepared text of Beasley's presentation will be available.
