Students selected to serve as commencement speakers, vocalists and musicians

MANHATTAN — Several Kansas State University students will take part in fall commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 9, as speakers, vocalists and musicians.

• Michael Fibelkorn, senior in music education, Edgerton, will be the vocalist at commencement for the College of Education at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Cooper McGuire, junior in applied music, Gardner, will be the vocalist at commencement for the Graduate School at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Stephen Kucera, master's student in accounting, Kansas City, will be the organist at commencement for the Graduate School at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in Bramlage Coliseum, and for the College of Education at 10 a.m., College of Business Administration at 11:30 a.m., College of Agriculture at 1 p.m. and College of Human Ecology at 2:30 p.m., all Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Micah Barfuss, bachelor's candidate in elementary education, Manhattan, will present the student commencement address at commencement for the College of Education at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Derek Lawson, president of the Graduate Student Council and doctoral student in personal financial counseling, Manhattan, will present greetings from the council at commencement for the Graduate School at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Samuel Massey, bachelor's candidate in applied music, Manhattan, will be the vocalist at commencement for the College of Arts and Sciences at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Megan Zeman, senior in secondary education, Manhattan,will be a vocalist at commencement for the College of Business Administration at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Cooper Clawson, bachelor's candidate in agricultural economics and finance, Meade, will be the student commencement speaker for the College of Agriculture at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Jacob "Jake" Lofquist, bachelor's candidate in kinesiology, Overland Park, will deliver the student address at commencement for the College of Human Ecology at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Patrick Kennedy, bachelor's candidate in finance and management, Paola, will deliver the student remarks at commencement for the College of Business Administration at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Mark Ronning, bachelor's candidate in electrical engineering, Prairie Village, will be the vocalist at commencement for the College of Engineering at 4 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Jessica Schreiner, bachelor's candidate in entrepreneurship, Topeka, will be a vocalist at commencement for the College of Business Administration at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Nicholas Ramirez, president of the Student Governing Association at Kansas State Polytechnic and sophomore in aeronautical technology, Wichita, will lead the processional, serve as the student marshal and deliver the student address at commencement for Kansas State Polytechnic at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Student Life Center.

• Adam Johnson, senior in bakery science and management, and food science and industry, Palmdale, California, will be the vocalist at commencement for the College of Agriculture at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Celine Beggs, bachelor's candidate in agricultural communications and journalism, and agricultural economics, Clearfield, Iowa, will present the reflections address at commencement for the College of Agriculture at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Samuel McConnell, bachelor's candidate in architectural engineering, Canyon, Texas, will present the student address at commencement for the College of Engineering at 4 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Sam Wilson, senior in applied music, Fort Worth, Texas, will be the vocalist at commencement for the College of Human Ecology at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in Bramlage Coliseum.
