Building History

Completed in 1973, the R.V. Christian Track was entirely funded by private donations from more than 3,000 K-State friends and alumni. The largest contribution came from the estate of Dr. R.V. Christian, a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1911. This tartan-surface track features eight lanes and 3,000 seats on the west side. It is regarded as one of the premier track facilities in the Midwest.
