Nathan Nelson is the lead investigator overseeing all aspects of the KAW Field Lab and coordinating research projects at the site. His interests are the impacts of nutrient management and soil management on water quality.
Kraig Roozeboom is interested in the impacts of cover crops on cropping system productivity and sustainability, and provides leadership for crop and cover crop management at the site.
Peter Tomlinson coordinates Extension education and outreach activities.
Gerard Kluitenberg is interested in cropping system impacts on water use and water balance.
DeAnn Presley is interested in cropping system impacts on soil structure, infiltration, and physical properties
Elizabeth Yeager - is interested on the interaction between economic costs and environmental gains
Ganga Hettiarachchi - is interested on cropping system and fertilizer management impacts on P speciation in soils.
Jeffery Williams (retired) determined the economic impacts of fall surface applied Phosphorus (P) fertilizer compared to currently recommended Best Management Practices (BMPs) for P fertilizer (spring injected P) and no P fertilizer application in corn-soybean rotations; analyzed the economic effects of winter cover crops in corn-soybean rotations; and evaluated the interaction of fertilizer management and cover crop use on economic measures in corn-soybean rotations.
Philip Barnes (retired) provided technical expertise and assistance with flow measurement and water quality monitoring.
