K-State Data Governance Model

Level 1 – Executive

  • Provides strategic direction, and is accountable for setting priorities and establishing organizational policies

Level 2 – Implementation

  • Provides operational guidance and execution of activities underway and communicates this to customers. They also report back to the executive levels the feedback they receive from customers.

Level 3 – Customer

  • These data consumers and users communicate their needs and provide feedback to the implementation level on how policies, practices, and other elements of the data analytics program are working. The communications plan framework included in Recommendation 4 can be used to help define responsibilities, timing, and frequency of communications.
