Wildcat OneCard Policies
The Wildcat OneCard is the official identification card for K-State students and employees. It is issued to currently enrolled students, as well as current, retired and emeritus employees of the university and its local agencies. Cardholders are required to carry their card at all times while on campus and must present it to any university officer or employee upon request for identification.
The card includes the holder's name, Wildcat ID (WID), account numbers, photo and signature. The WID is a unique nine-digit number assigned by the university to identify each member of the K-State community and its local organizations. By default, the card displays the holder's full legal name. However, a preferred name can also be used.
In addition to serving as general identification, the Wildcat OneCard is necessary for various purposes, including taking course exams, accessing K-State Libraries and K-State Student Union services, using recreational facilities, dining services, residence halls, obtaining medical records from the Lafene Health Center, and gaining admission to select K-State athletic events.
Conference Services
The ID Center may issue special-use cards for conferences utilizing the K-State campus or K-State Student Union facilities. To request special use cards, use the Conference Card Request form.
Care and Use
You are responsible for the care and use of the card. Misusing the card, including lending it to others, falsifying information, altering it, or using it without authorization, may lead to disciplinary action or legal prosecution. A misuse fee of $20 will be charged for any of these violations.
To keep your card in good condition:
- Protect it from damage caused by rubbing or scratching.
- Do not punch holes in the card.
- Avoid placing the card on wireless chargers, as this can damage the embedded chips.
- Keep the magnetic strip unobstructed and only use the card for its intended purposes.
If your card is defective or damaged, you can have it replaced at the ID Center located in the K-State Student Union.
If your card is lost or stolen, please report it immediately on the account management website. Be aware that a non-refundable fee will apply for replacement cards.
You are responsible for all transactions that occur before you report your card as lost or stolen. Transactions made after you have reported the card as lost or stolen will be subject to verification by the ID Center. Cards replaced due to loss or theft are deactivated. K-State will transfer your balance to the replacement card.
