Chorus frog - Pseudacris maculata

• 0.75-1.5 inches total length
• Found in sandy lowland flood plains and moist upland areas
• Hidden in daytime, hunts at night
• Breed in temporary pools of river floodplains
• Feed on a variety of small terrestrial arthropods

Interesting fact:

• On Konza Prairie, these small frogs breed in shallow upland pools formed when bison wallows fill with spring rain.
