All degree candidates participating in commencement ceremonies will wear academic apparel. For information on tassel and hood colors click here.

Where to purchase

Degree candidates must order regalia online by the following deadlines indicated below. Ship to store orders are recommended as there is no associated delivery fee, but ship to home orders include an additional $14.90 shipping fee and are available for last minute orders closer to the day of graduation. Items can be purchased separately or as part of a package of items. Rental regalia is not available.

Deadlines

• PHD students order deadline:
  • Custom/fine PHD regalia or faculty custom regalia online ordering deadline: Monday, March 16, 2026 - allow 8 weeks for delivery. Custom fine regalia orders for Faculty and Doctoral degree candidates take 8-10 weeks for production and shipment.
  • For lightweight PHD student regalia, please use the alternate option on the ordering website link.
  • Any orders after this date, if accepted, may incur additional late fees. This deadline is firm to cover the needed lead time to build the faculty members specific hood, as these are made individually.
• Bachelor/Master students order deadlines:
  • Deadline for in store pick-up, order online by Monday, February 2, 2026 for pickup in campus store March 3, 2026 at the Grad Expo.
    • March 3, 2026 - 10am -2pm Pick Up Party Union Courtyard
    • Orders not picked up on March 3 will be available for pick-up at the K-State Bookstore on the Manhattan campus from March 4 to May 15.
  • Second Regalia Pick Up Deadline: Order online by Monday, March 4, 2026 for the final round of in-store pickup on April 2 at the K-State Bookstore and to avoid the ship-to-home fee.
    • Final Deadline for in store pick-up, order online by Monday, March 4, 2026 for pickup in campus store.
    • April 2 - 10am -2pm: Second Pick Up Party K-State Union Bookstore. Pick up is available through May 15, 2026 (no shipping fee).
• Deadline for ship-to home by April 13, 2026:
  • Order online by Monday, April 13, 2026 for final ship-to-home regalia orders with the additional $14.90 shipping fee. Ship-to-home orders are anticipated to arrive by May 7, 2026 (allow approximately 3-4 weeks for delivery - orders ship-to-home in the order they are received).

 

• K-State Salina, Aerospace and Technology Campus:
  • Order regalia online by March 4, 2026 for in-store pick up between April 2 through May 9, 2026. Salina students can also choose the ship-to-home option for regalia ($14.90 shipping fee applies).
  • Deadline for Salina ship-to-home orders is April 13, 2026 for arrival by May 7, 2026. Contact Lindsay Ancira at 785-826-2923, or in the College Center bookstore for Salina specific questions.

 

**Faculty members with degrees from K-State are excluded as hoods are carried in stock.

**Students are advised to purchase their regalia as soon as it is financially possible for them to do so, as the K-State Bookstores may run out of product the week of graduation.
