Current Research
I am currently involved in a NASA-funded project, where my focus is to harmonize the SWOT a-priori lake and river databases. SWOT is an upcoming satellite mission, which will provide the discharge in rivers and water storage changes in lakes at the global scale. To better understand the global water cycle through synergetic use of these two surface water fluxes, we need a harmonized SWOT a priori lake-river database, which is not directly available. The harmonized database with proper drainage topology, will help to track global surface water dynamics at an unprecedented scale when the SWOT data will be available.
