Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) is here to inspire community through involvement. FSL is the point of contact for all Interfraternity (IFC) and Panhellenic (PHC) chapters at K-State, and serves as a resource for students and their families.

To empower our community through advocating for and collaborating with students and stakeholders; we foster an environment of transformative experiences and impactful connections.

Achievement is the foundation of success within Fraternity & Sorority Life at Kansas State.
Emphasizing academic excellence and personal growth, through individual and chapter academic
accomplishments, members uphold a commitment to scholarship. In addition, scholarships awarded
by chapters provide financial support and encourage continued academic success.
National awards and recognition showcase the high standards upheld by our community, reinforcing
our mission by fostering transformative experiences that empower students to excel in their
educational journeys.
Minimum Standards:
• At or above all-men, or all-women’s GPA
• Completes Semesterly CSR, Annual FSL Accreditation, and all required National Accreditation
Requirements
Leadership within Fraternity & Sorority Life extends beyond chapter roles, encouraging members to
take initiative in the classroom and by joining a campus organization. Members enjoy engaging
across campus through various program ambassador roles, Orientation, Student Government and
many more,
Programs offered by the FSL office, like the Rising Leaders Cohort, Greek Education & Mission
Summit, and IMPACT Leadership Retreat, equip students with essential skills to advocate for their
peers and drive meaningful change. By participating in these experiences, members develop
leadership abilities that create impactful connections both within and beyond the Greek community.
Minimum Standards:
• Representation at all required training sessions, meetings, etc.
• No accountability processes (Recruitment Violations, IFC/PHC Violations, HQ Sanctions/Status Change,
Code of Conduct Violations, etc.)
Engagement is at the heart of Fraternity & Sorority Life, fostering a commitment to service, campus
involvement, and community enrichment. Philanthropy and service initiatives allow members to give back, while events like Homecoming, and Greek Week strengthen relationships across campus. Our
community maintains membership within the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values and
provide opportunities for attendance at the Annual Conference each Winter to a delegation of
students.
The Community Standards Report, compiled and created semesterly by student leaders, ensures
accountability and excellence, reinforcing our shared values and mission to advocate for and
collaborate with stakeholders.
Minimum Standards:
• 50% of membership is involved in a second on-campus organization
• 5 Hours per member, per semester of service completed
Belonging ensures that every member feels valued, included, and supported within Fraternity &
Sorority Life. Retention initiatives and inclusion efforts create a welcoming environment for all.
Programs like Big & Little Mentoring foster close relationships, while Greek Week strengthens unity
across organizations. By promoting an inclusive culture, we empower students to build lifelong
connections that enhance their college experience and personal growth.
Minimum Standards:
• Chapter sets a retention goal each year and proactively works to improve retention year over year
• One sister/brotherhood alcohol-free event per semester
Wellness encompasses all aspects of student well-being, recognizing that a strong foundation in mental and
physical health contributes to overall success. Programs focusing on academic, spiritual, emotional, financial, and physical wellness, including intramural sports, every Wildcat a Wellcat programming, and partnerships with Powercat Financial resources, ensure holistic support for members. Through these initiatives, we advocate for student wellbeing and foster an environment where members can thrive in every aspect of their lives.
Minimum Standards:
• Three programs per semester meeting any avenue of Wellness. (Financial, Physical, Social, Emotional,
Intellectual, Environmental, Occupational, Spiritual)
