A celebration of poetry and the arts at K-State

Join the Kansas Water Institute as we celebrate World Water Day with a special evening of poetry readings, music, and art exhibits that celebrate and spotlight water and how it affects our lives.

Event details

A reception, poetry reading, and art display will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the K-State Student Union on March 23, 2026. This free event is open to the public.

Poetry and Art Competition

K-State students are invited to submit their original poetry and art (2D or 3D) for consideration. A panel of judges will evaluate submissions, and cash prizes will be awarded for the top entries in each category. To be considered for prizes, participants must commit to attending the event. Students who cannot attend may still submit their work for display, but will not be entered into the competition.
