Economic Impact

NAFSA: Association of International Educators reports that international students contributed $230.8 million to the Kansas economy supporting 1,466 jobs during the 2024-2025 academic year. This includes $34 million and 277 jobs from students enrolled at Kansas State University.

Students at English Language Programs contributed $392 million to the U.S. economy and support 2,778 jobs across the U.S. and $1.8 million and 10 jobs in the state of Kansas in 2024-2025. NAFSA calculates that one U.S. job is created for every three students enrolled in a university-based English Language Program.
